Amazing What an amazing time we had in Uganda. APS looked after so well, booking some accommodation at the last minute. We had a wonderful experience with the Gorillas- very special with lovely co- trekkers. A curated trip to a local village was a highlight. Peter, our guide may well be the greatest driver of all time and his calm demeanour was a blessing. Always on time and prepared to go out of his way for us✅. Would highly recommend APS⭐️

Even Better than the rave reviews 4 day Gorilla Trek with Queen Elizabeth Park, Kazinga Channel, Ishasha sector Batwa village experience. Amazing experience, safe comfortable and mind blowing. Very well organized. Bwindi Forest with the Gorillas was the best couple hours in my 36 years of adventure traveling.

An amazing journey discovering Uganda’s national parks We had a great experience with African Pearl and our guide Peter. the accommodations were wonderful, the food delicious, we could spend plenty of time observing wildlife, from the car, from the water, on foot… we even met a hippo at the lodge! Peter was very knowledgeable and we felt very safe in the car even if the roads were sometimes rough. The gorillas were of course the highlight but also Murchison falls NP, the Kazinga Channel, Queen Elisabeth NP, Kibale, every stop had something new and diverse to offer, the landscape was green and lush, everywhere there were elephants! We saw lions, leopards…. it was just fantastic! Also the visit to the Batwa people, about whom we knew nothing was a very touching experience which we will not forget. We really enjoyed Uganda, we found it very different from other African countries we have visited, especially for the very green landscapes which we liked a lot…The program of our 12 days journey was entirely organized by African Pearl and we enjoyed every bit of it!

Highly recommend African Pearl Safaris We did a six-day safari that included visiting Jinja, Murchison Falls National Park, Kibale National Park, and Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. We went on game drives, a chimpanzee trek, and a mountain gorilla trek. Every activity was fantastic and we packed a lot into those six days. A wonderful experience from initial inquiry to end of the safari. Our driver/guide was both professional and a wonderful traveling companion. Accommodations were comfortable and staff everywhere were most gracious.

Amazing vacation! When my plans changed while in Tanzania, I decided to go to Uganda. With little notice, Stephen was able to customize a safari which included chimp trekking in Kibale, gorilla trekking in Bwindi and wildlife safari in QENP. Absolutely amazing! The accommodations although classified as moderate were more than satisfactory, as was the food. I can’t say enough about Peter, my driver/guide. As well as sharing his vast knowledge of Uganda‘a wildlife, it’s geography and culture, he was attentive and kept me safe. Hopefully one day I can do another safari in Uganda, arranged by APS, with Peter as my driver/guide.

Wonderful trip! I took two back-to-back safaris with African Pearl. The first was a 4-day Murchison Falls/Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary trip. The second was their 5-day Kibale/Queen Elizabeth/Bwindi trip. Peter was my driver/guide on both trips - very knowledgeable about the wildlife, local people, and geographic areas. He tried to maximize time for wildlife viewing, making sure there were opportunities for good photographs and experiences. The budget accommodations were far better than expected. I enjoyed the opportunity to stay in lodging right in the middle of the rhino reserve. I was especially impressed with Ride 4 A Woman in Bwindi, an organization and lodging set up to empower local women. I was very pleased with African Pearl. My e-mails and inquiries were answered quickly. I found the staff easy to work with, even when changes needed to be made in regard to dates, pricing, etc. I highly recommend this company!

Highly Recommend African Pearl Safaris! Rwanda Gorilla Trekking, Lake Kivu, Kigali City Tour We were paired with a guide from African Pearl Safari for our entire stay in Rwanda. We couldn't have been more thrilled with Eric Umuhire's knowledgeable guiding. He even somehow arranged for us to be in the group that visited the largest gorilla family. Although the roads in Rwanda can be somewhat chaotic, I always felt like he was driving cautiously. We were incredibly pleased with all the activities and Eric went out of his way to go to a pharmacy so that I could get some head-cold medicine. Highly recommend!

Gorillas & a lot more African Budget Safaris again hooked us up with African Pearl Safaris for an 8 day trip in Uganda.Isaac our guide picked us up from Entebbe airport and drove us to our accommodation in Kampala , The Fairways Hotel.3 nights in Fairways:Food was spot on, location perfect, room was again spot on.Isaac picked us up then the next day for a Kampala City Tour , we spent the day going to important sites in the city. Mosque, Bugandan Kings burial sites, the Kampala Museum, Martyrs Shrine & a heap of more places, that I am still trying to process! Isaac, was really a decent, sound man. Very receptive to any questions, always on hand to pass on knowledge , just an all round nice bloke. We then did a day tour to Jinja and cruised along the source of the Nile. We saw all the animals this particular region had to offer, the cruise was superb ,on a very sunny warm day. We topped it off with some coffee & beers in a cafe nearby, then off to a luxurious restaurant for some traditional Ugandan nosh, which again was spot on.The next 3 nights was spent between Kibale & Queen Elizabeth. Where my favourite part was the cruise along the Kazinga channel. Highly recommended to anybody visiting Uganda, it was an amazing experience. The accommodation again throughout the park was superb, with amazing views and excellent hospitality. We again saw every animal imaginable in both Kibale & the Queen. Then it was on to the Bucket List : Gorilla trekking! Again Isaac was superb in taking us to Bwindi as the road is a little sketchy, he was just as excited for us to the Gorillas. I wont go into detail in this particular review, but 2 weeks later, I am still processing what we saw and the experience we had.Next stop was Lake Bunyoni, we stayed at a lodge here to chill out after the trek and caught the Uganda Zimbabwe game in the AFCON, which was a nice experience. Again hospitality was spot on.The next day we departed and continued our adventure into Rwanda, where Isaac brought us to the Genocide Museum and then onto our hotel in Kigali. Isaac then left , and our adventure with African Pearl came to an end.Isaac, what can I say about Isaac. He was genuinely interested in us, and very much like our experience in Kenya, he made sure we were refreshed at all times and stopped when we wanted for refreshments or restroom breaks. He is a genuinely warm and caring man, a real fatherly figure.Again all accommodation was nothing short of 5 star with the food absolutely delicious. I cannot recommend this company highly enough.Thank you Isaac & African Pearl Safaris.Colm & Karen

Excellent Safari operator in Uganda A friend and I booked a one-week safaris through this tour agency - overall, we had an amazing experience with APS!After initially reaching out to the company, tour manager Edris quickly came up with an itinerary according to our wishes that contained Kibale, Queen, Bwindi and Lake Mburo. In addition to that, Edris added a few lesser known gems like Mabamba Swamp or the Bigosi wetlands (which turned out to be awesome!). After very few adjustments and Edris' patient, courteous and professional anserwering of our questions, we quickly finalized the tour and wired the down payment.Upon arrival in Uganda, we were picked up by our guide Peter and started the tour. Peter immediately addressed all questions and request from our side during the trip. He's a careful expert driver and an excellent wildlife guide.Literally everything we experienced during the trip was amazing - seeing mountain gorillas in their natural habitat, doing the Chimpanzee habituation experience, chatting with our guide Peter, eating better-than-expected food at our lodges and restaurants, touring the Kazinga channel by boat, staying at gorgeous lodges in the middle of the savannah... the list goes on and on! All in all, APS provided invaluable advice in initial tour planning and perfect trip execution with good value for money. If I ever return to Uganda or one of the neighboring countries, I will for sure use APS again.
